Who We Are

Millie’s Assisted Living Community is a small, family-owned and operated home that takes pride in being more than just a facility, we’re a family.

Founded by Carley Preusch in 2003, Millie’s was created as the kind of place Carley hoped her own mother would enjoy: warm, welcoming, and filled with love.

Here, every resident is respected, valued, and cared for as a unique individual.

Our guiding belief is simple: small home, big heart.

Nestled just one block from historic downtown Silver City, Millie’s offers the perfect blend of home comfort and community connection.

Residents and their families enjoy easy access to eclectic shops, restaurants, art galleries, parks, and museums—all part of the vibrant culture that makes Silver City special.

Our doors are also open to the community: schools, churches, and local groups frequently visit, keeping life here lively and connected.

Why Silver City?

It’s no secret that Silver City is one of the most charming places to call home.

With a gentle climate praised by the U.S. Weather Bureau as one of the best in the country, and accolades such as The 100 Best Small Towns in America, The 50 Healthiest Places to Live and Retire in the United States, and even Oprah Winfrey’s list of top spots to live, Silver City offers an ideal backdrop for living well.

Recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a “Distinctive Destination,” our town is known for its culture, friendliness, and spirit of community.

At Millie’s, we’re proud to be part of that story, and to help our residents enjoy it to the fullest.
