Life and Death Services: Offerings for Millie’s Residents and Families
Hello, I’m Cinda Gillilan.
From 2019 to 2025, I had the privilege of serving as the administrator at Millie’s, and while I’ve since started my own business, Life and Death Services, I’m grateful to remain connected with this community.
My offerings are not medical care but rather education, planning, and spiritual support designed to ease fear, nurture connection, and honor each person’s wishes and values.
Here is what I can offer to new residents and their families and friends as they navigate life’s transitions.
Planning & Education
• Advance Directive Education & Preparation: Guidance on how to document medical wishes clearly and thoughtfully.
• DNR/DNI Education: Support in understanding “do not resuscitate/do not intubate” choices and their implications.
• POA (Power of Attorney) Education: Explanation of how to choose and empower trusted decision-makers.
• Green Funeral Option Education: Information on environmentally friendly burial and cremation choices.
• Palliative Care vs. Hospice Education: Education around key differences to help families choose the right path of care.
• Transition to Hospice Support & Education: Compassionate guidance for residents and families as hospice care begins.
• Medical Aid in Dying Education & Values Clarification: Education and reflection on options where legal, including how personal values shape decisions.
• Legacy Projects & Ethical Wills: Support for capturing life stories, letters, or values to pass down to loved ones.
• Vigil & End-of-Life Ritual Planning: Guidance for families in creating a peaceful, meaningful goodbye with music, readings, and presence.
Emotional & Spiritual Support
• Spiritual Direction: A confidential space for exploring faith, meaning, and connection at life’s transitions.
• Grief & Loss Education: Resources and support for anticipatory grief, disenfranchised grief, and diverse family grieving styles.
• Meaning-Making at End of Life: Gentle exploration of forgiveness, legacy, and reflection on a well lived life.
• Compassion Fatigue Education: Strategies and support for family caregivers experiencing emotional burnout.
• “Good Death” Conversations: Open dialogue about what it means to die well, shaped by culture and personal beliefs.
• Memorialization Ideas: Creative suggestions for keepsakes, rituals, or remembrance events to honor loved ones.

Additional Availability
• Distance Reiki for Residents: Supportive energy work offered remotely to promote relaxation and peace.
• In-Person Meetings (while in Silver City): Available for residents or families during Cinda’s visits as a compliance consultant.
• Sliding Scale & Millie’s Discount: Services are accessible with flexible pricing and a special discount for Millie’s residents.

All services are offered online, with in-person availability when I’m in Silver City. To keep support accessible, I work on a sliding scale and provide a special discount for Millie’s residents and families.
My hope is that these offerings help bring peace of mind, clarity, and comfort during life’s most important transitions.
Warmly,
Cinda Gillilan
